About

Pennings Orchard & Farm Market operates on 100 acres of pristine farmland in the historic Hudson Valley town of Warwick, NY.  In addition to over 100 acres of fruit and vegetable production, our business is comprised of the Orchards, Farm Market, Bakery, Harvest Grill and Brew Pub, Ice Cream Stand, and Garden Center. For more than 20 years, Pennings Farm Market has been a steadfast retailer of locally grown produce under the attentive ownership of Steve and Jill Pennings. In offering our own produce (apples, apricots, eggplant, nectarines, peaches, peppers, pumpkins, squash, sweet corn, tomatoes, and zucchini) or produce from neighboring farms, we aspire to be local in what we do and what we sell.

Pennings Orchard, owned and operated by Jack Pennings Sr. and his son Jack Pennings Jr., bursts with delicious, pick your own New York State apples during the fall harvest season. Whether visiting for the Warwick Applefest or chasing fall foliage, picking for apple pies or applesauce, Pennings Orchard is a memorable destination. Apple picking season coincides with the harvest season, when we proudly feature our bountiful pumpkin crop, colorful fall mums, and decorative hay stalks. Families return to Pennings each year for our fall haunted house and hayrides.

Pennings Farm Market is open year-round and currently carries goods from over 20 regional producers: dairy and maple products; grass-fed beef; free-range poultry; eggs fresh from our farm chickens; and many varieties of local honey.  We bake fruit pies from our freshly picked apples and peaches, make cider donuts from scratch and make apple turnovers, brownies, homemade granola and breads. In keeping with our community’s desire to buy local and support local agriculture, Pennings Farm Market is home to the Warwick Indoor Winter Farmers’ Market, every Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM, January thru March. Vendors sell fresh produce, herbs, fruit, baked goods, and local meat and dairy products from our region’s farms and producers. Area craftsmen, artists and musicians regularly participate in this community-building event.

The Harvest Grill & Brew Pub at Pennings Farm Market strives to give our customers a “field to table” experience. With diverse seasonally-inflected menu selections for all ages, and the option for indoor and outdoor casual dining or take-out, The Harvest Grill Café is a perfect spot for lunch, dinner or after a day in the orchards. We offer specialty sandwiches, homemade soups, seasonal salads and burgers made with grass-fed beef. We are excited to announce the opening of our new ‘Apple Grader’ Brew Pub, featuring local craft beers and wines and hard cider made from our own apples, all served at our operational antique apple grader bar.

Pennings Ice Cream Stand specializes in old-fashioned soft serve custard. In addition, we offer a wide variety of hard ice cream flavors, homemade tart frozen yogurt with fresh fruit toppings, and farm-fresh fruit smoothies.  Our Barnyard Buddies area offers an opportunity for children to interact with farm animals such as goats, chickens, rabbits and calves.

The Garden Center at Pennings has everything you need to maintain your yard, nourish your garden, or help you live life outdoors. We offer perennials and annuals, bedding plants, seeds, fertilizer, mulch, soil, gardening tools, hanging baskets, outdoor Amish-made furniture and more.  Our ornamental wreaths and Christmas trees fill our floors as the holiday season approaches.

Pennings Farm Market is open year-round, seven days a week from 9 AM to 7 PM.
